Regeneration of Fox's Field
​
Wellington Mills CIC and Transition Town Wellington together with Somerset West and Taunton Council have begun a community consultation on plans to protect, regenerate and restore Fox’s Field – the green space adjacent to Tonedale Mill. The first of a series of public consultation events about the project will be held online on Saturday March 6th 2021 via Zoom.

Major Grant Award for the Preservation of Tone Works
Historic England has awarded a £348,000 grant towards the preservation of Tone Works – the Fox Brothers and Co. Ltd cloth-finishing works which was in operation for over two centuries between 1776 and the year 2000.

Volunteer Opportunity
​
The Somerset Heritage Centre (SHC) in Taunton is currently looking for volunteers to help digitise and transcribe its collection of Land Tax Returns (1766–1832). Volunteers can work from the Heritage Centre or from Home. Full training will be given.
