The Museum Society recently purchased about 70 old post cards of Wellington and the surrounding area. 

The Society's Vice-chairman, Mark Lithgow, spotted them in a catalogue of items in an auction being held by Greenslades.  He purchased them on behalf of the Society to add to the the museum's collection.  The vast majority were ones not already in the collection.
